If you can’t be online when a lot is closing, you can place a maximum bid in advance so the system can bid on your behalf.

In the Bidding Centre, simply enter the highest amount you are willing to pay for a lot. Your maximum bid is kept private and is not visible to other bidders. The system will then automatically place bids for you in the required bidding increments, starting at the minimum amount needed to keep you in the lead, up to your maximum bid limit.

For example, if your maximum bid is $100 and another bidder places a bid of $20, the system may automatically increase your bid to $30 to keep you as the highest bidder. If another bidder places a bid above your $100 maximum, you will be outbid.
