Kerry Packer’s 1977 Jaguar XJS Is Set To Break Records At Auction

It started with a friendship between Kerry Packer and Kev Bartlett, but it grew into so much more.

Kerry Packer’s 1977 Jaguar XJS is known as a mythical beast, and now’s your chance to get your hands on it when it goes under the hammer at Lloyds Auctions on Saturday 31st July.

The Kerry Packer car has experienced major mechanical work and was commissioned by Rymec to build the Twin IHI turbo setup, producing 1200bhp with 30 PSI.

However, a fire unexpectedly broke through the Rymec premises, which completely gutted the car, when it was then purchased by Gary Walker, son of Roly Walker.

They then rebuilt the vehicle from the ground up.

The car was built with a 320km/h top speed, 11.0 second standing 400m time and an incredible 5th gear 30km/h to 250km/h acceleration capability.

You do not want to miss this opportunity to own such a unique vehicle!

You can register to get your free tickets for the Classic Car auction here. For those who cannot attend, the entire auction will be live-streamed for free across social media platforms YouTube & Facebook.
