HQ – Gold Coast, QLD

Lloyds Auctions was founded by Andrew Webber as a family business on the Gold Coast, Australia in 2004.

The Gold Coast is a sunny, seaside city in Queensland, located south of Brisbane, the state capital.

Famous for its world-class beaches and surf breaks, thrilling theme parks and incredible wildlife, the Gold Coast sees about 10million visitors each year!

The Gold Coast lays immediately north of Queensland’s border with New South Wales, making it a popular holiday destination for Sydneysiders. Due to its warm and dry winter weather and tropical summers, and family-centric attractions, the Gold Coast also appeals to families from across Australia and New Zealand.

Not a sleepy, seaside town, the Gold Coast is Australia’s sixth largest city, boasting a hive of activity all year round.

Popular annual events include the opening leg of the WSL World Tour of Surfing at the iconic Snapper Rocks, the V8 Supercars Gold Coast 600 (formerly known as Lexmark Indy 300), a 1950s and 1960s nostalgia festival, Cooly Rocks On.

But the biggest event to ever hit the Gold Coast was anticipated and celebrated by many, including us at Lloyds Auctions, Carrara. We were thrilled to be able to offer the famous gear from all areas of the Games to the public, to buy and treasure.

We are endorsed Auctioneers and Valuers for State, Commonwealth and Local Government Departments including QLD Police, Gold Coast City Council and Department of Transport & Main Roads.

Our Lloyds Auctions headquarters are perfectly placed geographically for boat and jet ski sales, we are literally surrounded by water… plus we are the largest auction house on the Gold Coast!

The numerous lakes and more than 400 kilometres of constructed canals on the Gold Coast form a massive area of waterways, not to mention some of the most stunning beaches in the world.

Lloyds Auctions often clear excess stock from major Queensland retailers. Insurers liquidate products subject to insurance claims from large multi-national retail chains and big name brands.

We also sell a large quantity of furniture, appliances, catering equipment, antiques, trucks and yellow gear, and our favourite – prestige and collectable classic cars!

Our Gold Coast warehouse is located in Carrara meaning buying and selling has become even easier for Gold Coast locals.

Access to a local drop off and pick up point makes it convenient for our bidders and vendors alike. No need to travel to Brisbane!

We can even ship purchases from our Carrara warehouse right to your doorstep, meaning more time for exploring the Springbrook National Park or the Burleigh Beach, plus cheaper shipping fees!

If you want to see what all the fuss is about then pop into our Carrara warehouse or jump online and start bidding. And remember, we are here to help!

Scott Webber is one of the founding partners at Lloyds and has worked for the company from its inception in 2004. In that time Scott has been a Licensed Auctioneer and Qualified ASA Valuer. Prior to Lloyds, Scott was a Farm Manager at Cubbie Station in Queensland, he has an earthmoving and agricultural background.

Scott is heavily involved in daily valuations. He acts for a wide range of clients and vendors including Insurance companies, Financiers, Insolvency Practitioners, Government branches, Joint Ventures and Alliances, large companies, and private individuals. Scott personally co-signs and oversees every valuation report completed by Lloyds. On average the Lloyds valuations department conducts over 500 appraisals per financial year.

Scott has managed many auctions and private sales, previously completing an approximate average of 400-800 traditional auction lots per week. Given that the Lloyds system is now online, traditional auctions are very minimal and are completed in a simulcast method, to comply with contracts we have with major government departments. Although Scott’s focus is currently Valuations, he still oversees and runs auctions weekly on a wide variety of assets from motor vehicles to very specialised process lines.

Scott offers a wealth of experience as an Auctioneer and Valuer in all aspects of Valuations and Asset Disposals.

Having headed disposal programs for Major Infrastructure Alliances, Joint Venture partnerships and Government projects throughout Australia, Scott has a wide range of experience in the Civil Construction, Earthmoving, Manufacturing and Agricultural sectors offering a “turn key” service from start to finish.
