PRESTON CAMPBELL FOUNDATION

" to create a better future

for all our kids "

Preston Campbell created the Foundation in his name to enable him to continue his life-changing community work in his post-football life.

A registered charity, the Foundation delivers programs that aim ”to create a better future for all our kids.”

Preston an advocate for positive mental health with much of his recent work taking him to communities ravaged by drought and fire to bring inclusive messages of hope to schools, families, farmers and community groups.

Monies raised from the auction

will allow him to visit more of these communities as well as work WITH disengaged youth in urban areas.

Rugby League Immortal Mal Meninga said the results Campbell was delivering in his post-football career with the Preston Campbell Foundation had taken his respect for Preston to a new level.

“Anyone that has had anything to do with Preston knows what a special human being he is,” Meninga said. “Yes, he did a lot of things in his career that a lot of people don’t get to experience – like winning a premiership and winning the Dally M Medal.”

“But it is the legacy he is creating for the game, his people and his community that is really the most inspirational part of his career,” he concluded.

He was joined by Indigenous Team of the Century member Steve Renouf

who said that Preston’s post-football career at the helm of the Preston Campbell Foundation is having the most life-changing effects.

“I have the opportunity now to work with Deadly Choices and partner with the Preston Campbell Foundation where he does some great work in the communities,” Renouf said.

Greg Inglis, who is related to Preston, speaks of his impact on current day players.

“’Preston came and spoke to us at All Stars and talked about how since retirement he is getting out more in the communities, we are only scratching the surface,” Inglis recalled.

“You see what Preston has done. He is a role model for all of us,” Inglis said. “He uses his profile and his name the best he can, and the amount of work he does in community is unbelievable.”

All these greats have personally donated items to the auction as well as their time in support of Preston and his work.

All monies raised will go directly to programs that are creating change in our communities.
