$10M+ “Unreil” Car Collection Uncovered in Mancave
Ever dreamt of owning a race car? Or maybe an ex-police car? Or maybe even and Lamborghini!
Now is your chance with Over 50 of the most exotic, rare, and desirable classic cars coming to auction for the first time from one of the most impressive collections seen on the market in many years from a single vendor
Known as ‘The Unreil collection’, it starts with a Ford Prefect once retailing for $100 back in the day, and concludes with a $1.5 million Lamborghini Aventador, with each car in the collection having a story of its own to tell.
The unnamed, Unreil custodian’s first car was the Ford Prefect, costing just $100 when released which he learnt to drive in the bottom paddock of his farm.
Growing up the current custodian attended many car racing meets at Oran Park in his early teens where he became fascinated with racing around the track, and in particular with Allan Moffat, being one of the first professional motor car racers in Australia.
At the age of just 14 he decided he wanted to start his own business in hopes of having enough money to race his own cars. This went on to create the mould for this teenage boy’s future, and not only did he go on to become one of Australia’s most successful businessmen, but he also followed his passion in race car driving all the way through to Bathurst, with the pinnacle achieving a top 10 result in Bathurst in 1998.
Specific vehicles in the collection include a Torana A9X GMP & A, Ian (Pete) Geoghegan’s Ford Mustang touring car, Garry Rogers #26 Holden VL Commodore, a 1 of 1 Ford Falcon XY GT in wild violet, and many other rare and unique cars.
The Unreil Collection will go under the hammer via a LIVE auction event in Villawood, Sydney on Sunday 29th January 2023 from 12:00pm as part of Lloyds Auctions Grand Carmada event weekend.
Stay tuned as we dive into the history of these iconic vehicles.
