Lloyds Legend – December 2019

Lloyds Legend – December 2019

Get to know this year’s ultimate Legend, Alcyone!

You may have seen the photos of our prized Lloyds Auctions staff members at the counters of our warehouses and wondered what they did to get there!

Every month here at Lloyds Auctions we have the highly coveted Lloyds Legend award that goes to the star employee of the month!

Three staff members make it on to the Lloyds Legend podium each month depending on how many nominations from their peers and co-workers they receive.

This month we chose an overall Lloyds Legend for 2019 based purely on the number of nominations they have received  throughout the year.

We have decided to introduce you to our ultimate award-winning staff member, Alcyone, so you can get to know her a bit better!

We are so proud of her and we value her hard work, her helpful and friendly personality, and huge contribution to the business this year.

What is your role here at Lloyds?

As the Consumer Business Development Manager, I develop business for Lloyds focusing on Consumer and Outlet products.

How long have you worked here?

3 years and 3 months

What is your favourite task you do?

Tick things off my to do list; including closing deals!

Why did you get Lloyds Legend?

No task is ever too hard, and I’m always available to lend a helping hand. I am also told I am humble and graceful haha

What makes you work so hard?

My team’s dedication pushes me to be better and work harder for them every day.  They are a special bunch!

Who do you look up to here?

My Manager Joseph – He is a true leader and great mentor.  He is someone who truly teaches me something new every day and I really respect that.

When is your next holiday?

Friday was my last day and now I am officially on Xmas holidays!  YAY!

What are you most excited about for the future of Lloyds?

I’m simple, so seeing new and exciting things come through auction really excites me.

But for the future of Lloyds, having a “first” or breaking new records is even more exciting. We are also expanding so quickly and I love seeing opportunities created and new happy faces in the workplace.

Who is your best work friend?

Samantha Lord.  I would be lost without her.  She is never allowed to leave me and the Lloyds family, but mainly me.  Haha

What is the best thing that happened to you today?

Receiving sweet messages and photos from my team about this nomination.

What is the best activity when home on a rainy day?

Definitely Netflix and a quick gym workout so I can eat ice cream and chocolate while watching movies.  😉

Any Kardashian!  Hahaha.  I love them!

What’s your favourite ice-cream?

I can’t decide between hokey pokey or Neapolitan…

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

A blanket from my Nan when I was a kid.  We have a big family so it was very special to receive something from her as she cannot always buy for everyone.  I still have it!  Plus I love blankies!

You’re out for brunch, what do you eat?

Chocolate before, and after, my salad.

What’s the next book you plan on reading?

I am slowly getting through the Lloyds Auctions work library and think the next book will be Million Dollar Minute as I have heard great reviews about it.
