May Classic Car Auction Recap

May’s classic car auction was nothing short of spectacular, bringing together enthusiasts, collectors, and bidders from all corners of the globe. The event was a roaring success, celebrating automotive history with an impressive line up of cars that spanned decades.

From vintage gems to modern classics, the auction floor was a playground for those with a passion for engineering excellence and design brilliance showcasing a diverse range of vehicles, each with its own unique story and charm. Let’s look at some of this month’s highlights!

The 2018 Morgan 13 3-Wheeler captured the hearts of many with its distinctive design and nostalgic appeal. These modern classics pays homage to Morgan’s rich history of producing three-wheeled vehicles, blending vintage aesthetics with contemporary engineering. The 3-Wheeler’s open-air driving experience and its lightweight and agile build made it a hot item selling for $57,000!

Next up was the 2000 Porsche 996 911 Turbo, a car that represents a pivotal moment in Porsche’s storied lineage. The bidding was fierce going under the hammer at $80,000! Congratulations to the new custodian!

The 2008 Nissan GT-R R35 is a car that needs no introduction among performance car enthusiasts. Dubbed “Godzilla” for its monstrous power and track dominance, the GT-R R35 is a marvel of modern technology. This beauty sold for $75,500!

Next was the 1972 Ford XA Falcon Hardtop, a GT Tribute that exudes muscle and style. This Australian classic, with its bold lines and powerful V8 engine, embodies the spirit of the muscle car era. The meticulously restored GT Tribute attracted significant attention going under the hammer for $107,000.

The 2017 HSV VF GTS-R was another standout, embodying the pinnacle of Australian performance engineering. As one of the last models produced by Holden Special Vehicles (HSV), this GTS-R holds a special place in automotive history. The rarity of this car sparked a bidding war and sold for $114,000!
