More than 30 days ago, our management team commenced putting a plan together to protect our people in case the virus affected Australians. Over the last week you may have seen an email or two come from us about a new initiative we are calling ‘Family First’. Since 2004 Lloyds Auctions have, and will always, operate as one big family. We are determined to do whatever it takes to ensure the safety and peace of mind of our team, our customers and our community – Our Family. If you are reading this, know that we consider you a part of the family as well. We believe these unprecedented times call for big action to be taken. Let us know, what can we do to help YOU?

In the weekend, our team worked tirelessly answering phone calls, web chat, email and SMS 24 hours a day to make sure we stayed on top of what was needed. Some of the team put together care packs of hand sanitiser, face masks and surface spray while others hit the streets, distributing them to every customer they could. As the situation is changing daily, our Family First strategy team meet daily and all our decisions are focused on the wellbeing of you - our people, our customers and our community. Speaking with thousands of people who have already reached out to our offer of support, it has become clear that there continues to be an overwhelming demand for sanitisation products. Our ‘Family First’ team has worked day and night to source thousands of these products under almost impossible conditions, with one goal in mind - to give it away for FREE! While it is important to stay optimistic, it is fair to say that some of us are in for a hard time. Our commitment to our family however, has not faltered, if anything – it gets stronger by the day. We will continue to provide whatever we can for you; our team, our customers and our community (our family) that have supported us through our long history. From this afternoon we will be offering thousands of sanitisation products on our website for FREE, shipped anywhere in Australia for FREE. In the interest of keeping our extended family safe, our warehouses will be closed to the public from midnight, Wednesday 25th March. You may have seen the heart warming story on 9 News about strangers helping strangers and social media groups and other businesses organizing food and services for those who are struggling. If you need inspiration for what you can be doing to help during this time, look up Facebook page ‘Love Your Neighbour’ or check out the many other similar ones that are doing amazing things for their communities. We would love to see everyone doing something kind and caring in this uncertain time when others are needing it most. In times of crisis we turn to our family for help and guidance because we know and we trust they will have our health and wellbeing at heart. You have all supported us through buying, selling and bidding across our long history… It’s time for us to support you and you to support your communities too.
